| Terrorist Air Time? |
Played on Al Jazeera t.v. today, April 23, was an apparent tape of the al-Qida terrorist organization leader Usama Bin Laden stating that the war in Iraq and the cut off of funds to the Hamas led Palestinian Government proves that there is a Zionist crusade against Islam.
Aside from the fact that UBL's logic is even worse than some of the logic often heard on the Fox channel with respect to Bin Laden and debate in America, who cares what he says? It should be old news. History.
Why has the leader of this terrorist movement, the one responsible for blowing a hole into our largest city, for brutally murdering 3000 of our citizens, for indirectly inspiring us to begin undermining some of our own principles of democracy in the so called name of fighting terrorism, not been captured and eradicated? To say it is hard to do is not sufficient. Along with going into Afghanistan to eradicate the main al-Qida base of operations and overthrow the supportive, if not commingled, Taliban rule, it comprised the first and most fundamental step in the war on terror. Yet what have we turned our effort into?
